The Virginia Zoo Gift Guide

Looking for a gift that gives back this year? Support the Virginia Zoo and find unique, animal-themed items by shopping in our gift shop!

The Virginia Zoo will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but our gift shop will be open for shopping until 4 p.m. on December 23. Digital items like gift cards, gift tickets, gift memberships, behind-the-scenes tours can be purchased anytime and will be delivered via email.

Gift Cards
Can’t decide what to get? Purchase a Zoo gift card on our website or in the gift shop, and let your loved one shop for their favorite items! Gift cards are redeemable at the gift shop, restaurants or for a membership. Gift cards cannot be used toward Zoo admission.

Zoodoptions
The gift that gives back. Symbolically adopt a loved one’s favorite animal for them on our website or in-person at our membership office, and know that the proceeds go toward animal conservation. Various ‘zoodoption’ levels are available and earn you different items or experiences related to your animal of choice! Purchase a Letti the Rhino Zoodoption by 12/31 and be entered to win a rhino behind the scenes tour. $25+

Zoodoptions must be purchased by 4 p.m. 12/15 to shop in time for Christmas. All Zoodoption orders placed after 12/15 can be picked up in the Zoo’s membership office until 4 p.m. on 12/23.

Gift Tickets
Looking to give a trip to the Zoo? Purchase gift tickets on our website! These tickets are valid for 365 days from purchase and can be used for general admission.

Virginia Zoo Membership 
Give the gift of year-round fun with a Zoo membership. Members receive free admission, special discounts, invitations to exclusive events, and the warm feeling of knowing they’re supporting the Zoo with each visit. Sign up online or in-person at our membership office! $79+
