Education is an important part of our mission. The Zoo’s ability to educate our community helps visitors learn more about our world and its fantastic animals. Every visitor is met with a plethora of education, from programs that enhance families’ visits to the Zoo, to Scout Snoozes and kids and family programs, ZooLive! stage presentations and zoo camps, we deliver many opportunities to help visitors learn more about our world and its fantastic animals.

School Programs

We can reinforce science lessons with our animals in informative on-site and off-site programs that reinforce Standards of Learning (SOL) for pre-K through 12th grades.

Teen Programs

Teens learn their way around the Zoo, the basics of conservation and ecology, and how to interpret knowledge to Zoo guests.

We offer storybook times and special programs for families.
