Description

Range & Habitat

Found In: northern Mongolia, southern Siberia, Korea, Japan, and central China. Their habitat consists of grassy marshes, wet sedge meadows, and reedbeds in river valleys, as well as, boggy wetlands.

Diet

Omnivore. Diet consists of tubers of aquatic plants, seeds, roots, insects, and small animals.

Conservation

Wetland loss and degradation are the major threats to this species
