Scientific Name:  Pantherophis alleghaniensis

Found In: central and eastern United States inhabiting fields, woodlands, farmlands, and suburban communities.

Size: Adults average between 3 and 5 feet long.

Diet: Carnivore. Diet consists of rodents, amphibians and young birds

Threat Level: Least Concern.

Facts: This species emits an odor when they feel threatened that imitates what a poison would taste like.
