Behind-the-Scenes Tours

Gift the one-of-a-kind experience of a behind-the-scenes encounter with our animals. From African mammals, to birds of prey, to reptiles, we offer a variety of tours that are sure to delight anyone on your list! NEW THIS YEAR: Join our Africa Keepers on a tour with our Eastern bongo, Charlie! This new tour will give guests the opportunity to meet Charlie, with the chance to feed her. Safari Camps

Every kid needs to unleash their wild side, so you might as well let them do it at the Zoo! Safari Camps provide a memorable experience for the young ones in your life by teaching them about the world around them and how they can be the conservationists of the future. With camps for kindergartners to 8th graders, there’s sure to be an engaging experience for every child in your life! Zoodoptions

The gift that gives back. Symbolically adopt a loved one’s favorite animal for them on our website or in-person at our Membership Office, and know that the proceeds go toward animal conservation. Various ‘zoodoption’ levels are available and earn you different items or experiences related to your animal of choice! $25+

Zoodoptions must be purchased by 4 p.m. 12/15 to shop in time for Christmas. All Zoodoption orders placed after 12/15 can be picked up in the Zoo’s membership office until 4 p.m. on 12/23.

Who-doptions

Looking for a good stocking stuffer? A Virginia Zoo Who-doption is the perfect gift!  These popular mystery animal Zoodoptions are back with a new series. They will be available in the Membership Office through December. Don’t wait because they are sure to sell out! $15

2025 Virginia Zoo Calendar

Make every day wild with a Zoo calendar! Plan your days while learning fun facts about our animals. This wall calendar is complete with fan photos and over $20 worth of coupons. $5+

Gift Tickets

Looking to give a trip to the Zoo? Purchase gift tickets on our website! These tickets are valid for 365 days from purchase and can be used for general admission.

The Virginia Zoo Express

Can’t decide what to get? Purchase a Zoo gift card on our website or in the gift shop, and let your loved one shop for their favorite items! Gift cards are redeemable at the gift shop, restaurants or for a membership. Gift cards cannot be used toward Zoo admission.
