They are herbivore. Diet in their native habitat consists of primarily berries, leaves, small twigs, and fruits; although, they have been known to eat insects or small prey on occasion.

Conservation

Sloths face increasing pressure due to habitat loss and fragmentation.

Fun Facts

  • Sloths are made to live upside down and are physically incapable of walking; they crawl when on the ground, but are good swimmers.
