☀️ Member Mornings begin May 23 & 24: Members get into the Zoo an hour early when there’s plenty of parking, the weather is cooler, and there’s a better chance of seeing the animals being active and eating their breakfasts! PLUS, this weekend only, Members will have a chance to receive the exclusive red panda trading card from 8:30am-9:30am!

⛲️ Splash Pad in Fountain Plaza open May 23: Our splash pad is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Fountains will be turned off during inclement weather. Please call to confirm.

🎉 25 on the 25th takes place Monday, May 25: This special day will include our normal 25 on the 25th promotions with in-person discounts on select memberships, retail, food, and more!

🦬 Celebration of Lily, the American bison’s life May 23 – May 25:

The Virginia Zoo will be celebrating Lily’s life and honoring her memory this Memorial Day weekend by handing out American bison trading cards featuring Lily throughout the Zoo Saturday – Monday. We invite our community to come out to collect a card from any staff or volunteer and learn about Lily’s life and species.
