Kiss & Tail is a special Valentine’s Day program about jungle love that separates the birds from the beasts! Join us for this adults-only opportunity and learn about animal mating, dating and reproductive habits in an honest & humorous forum. Ages 21+ only. Please note, masks are required indoors while not eating or drinking.

Schedule for Saturday, February 12, 2022:
5 – 5:30 pm: Check-in and Animal Ambassador Meet & Greet in our Africa Classroom
5:30 pm: Find your seat and settle in with a beverage at the African Village Café
6 pm: Presentation by Lisa Behm begins


About Lisa Behm: Holding a master’s degree in Biology from Old Dominion University, Behm is a former zookeeper and animal registrar at the Virginia Zoo, where part of her duties included assisting the Zoo’s veterinarian. She began teaching evenings at Tidewater Community College while working at the Zoo, becoming a full-time biology faculty member in 2003.

Non-Member Large Table (4 guests): $160

Tickets are purchased for table seatings for 2 or 4 people. Each person will receive one drink ticket and the table will be served a pre-plated assortment of heavy hors d’oeuvres. Cash bar will be available.

Space is very limited and pre-registration is required. Confirmed registrants will receive an email. Please note, masks are required indoors while not eating or drinking. This event is indoors and will take place rain or shine.
