These lizards are found throughout rainforests, coastal swamps, and forests in Central Fiji.

Herbivore. Diet consists of fruits and flowers, especially hibiscus

Forest burning and habitat loss due to expanding urban area and villages are the major threats to this species. Additionally, the species is commonly consumed by introduced predators
