Herbivore. Diet consists of leaves, flowers, fruit, and shoots.

Conservation

Deforestation for logging is the major threat to this species. Its small range and low birth rate make it vulnerable to rapid population decline.

Fun Facts

  • Adult skinks have been known to “adopt” orphaned young skinks into their groups. Typically one baby every other year.
