The natural world is full of fascinating and spooky science! Spend time in our Mad Lab to uncover the secrets of ecosystem science in a rainforest. You’ll help “build” a habitat from the ground up, and learn about the things all animals need to survive in their ecosystems. From bubbles and burps to slime and skeletons, Mad Lab makes science fun!
Enchanted Forest:
The Run Wild Nature Discovery Zone transforms into an Enchanted Forest once a year – come explore and play alongside fairytale characters like the three little pigs, Jack and the beanstalk, and Little Red Riding Hood! Build forts to withstand huffing and puffing, help brew a nature stew, and track down classic storybook villains who’ve left their tracks throughout the woods.
Cryptid Scavenger Hunt:
Earn prizes for solving clues about the secrets to protecting one of the world’s most beloved mythical creatures – the unicorn! Grab a stamp card when you arrive and set off on a journey around the Zoo to learn about five important conservation actions you can take to protect wildlife – real and imagined!
