Giving Tuesday, also known as Giving ZOOday, is on November 27th and the Virginia Zoo is proud to be a part of this global celebration of giving for the second year in a row. Every year holiday shoppers have two days for getting deals, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but #GivingTuesday is a day for giving back, and this year we hope you choose to give to the Zoo.
#GivingZooday is the opening day of the giving season; a reminder of the “reason for the season.” For 24 hours you can donate via our website OR Facebook page to help us reach our $5,000 goal towards conservation. With donations of all sizes from our gracious Zoo fans, we can help save dozens of species and their habitats at local, national and international levels.

Zoo staff have been busy this pre-holiday season in preparation for Giving Zooday, and we have something special in store for our Zoo fans. We’ll be sharing our Christmas gift to you one week from today, so be sure to check all of our social media sites, as well as our website for this epic surprise! Even if you are unable to donate, please share this campaign with family and friends and urge everyone you know to give back!
