Family Volunteer Day: Run Wild Nature Play Zone

Our new quarterly Family Volunteer Day will kick off in the Zoo’s Run Wild Nature Play Zone, and will feature opportunities for families to pitch in as we spruce up this area to get ready for summer and brand new features coming soon. Tasks will include raking, helping refresh the Conservation Cabin, dismantling old structures to make room for new, preparing and planting new flower beds, etc.

The event begins before the Zoo opens, and volunteers will receive free admission to the Zoo after the event ends.

Space is limited, registration is free. Please register by emailing kate.reichert@norfolk.gov, and include how many are in your party and the ages of anybody under the age of 18.
