Enhance your Zoo visit with an exclusive walking tour led by a knowledgeable and engaging Zoo educator. Learn more about wildlife conservation or the science of the zoo on a 90-minute walking tour, and get a glimpse behind the scenes at some of your favorite areas of the Zoo.
Two exciting themes are available: Conservation Story and Science of the Zoo. Tours are led at select days and times.
ACTIVITIES
CONSERVATION STORY – ASIA
Conservation is critical to our mission here at the Virginia Zoo, in our own backyards, and around the world. On this tour, learn more about the challenges facing wildlife and how everyone can do their part to help.
Tours start at 9am and meet outside the gates. Tours can take up to 8 people. There is no age restriction; under 2 are free. All tours include park admission. Space is limited. Closed-toe shoes are required as are face masks for all those over 2 years of age.
9am Conservation Story tours typically take place on the Asia Trail of the Tiger. However, some areas may be closed or the tour route may be changed due to sensitive animal restrictions.
Members: $10 per person
Non-members: $20 per person (this includes admission)
