Scientific Name: Chromobotia macracanthus

Found In: Indonesia and Malaysia inhabiting bottoms of rivers and canals. They will often hide under rocks, pieces of wood, or inside mud.

Size: Adults average 5-11 inches in length.

Diet: Omnivore. Diet consists of plant matter, algae, snails, worms, and other small invertebrates.

Threat Level: Least Concern.

Facts: This species has thorns beneath each of their eyes that can extend when they feel threatened.
