DESCRIPTION:Give a gift here!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHelp us shower Dara the Bornean Orangutan with love as she is expecting a baby in June 2024! Drop by to give your well wishes and cast your vote for a boy or girl anytime between 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.\, and stick around for a special keeper chat at 11 a.m.! \n\n\n\nIn lieu of gifts\, we will be accepting donations to GiveLocal 757. Funds collected now thru April 23 will be used to purchase advanced medical equipment\, including accessories for a Pet Map II\, which can monitor vital signs like heart rate\, respiratory rate\, temperature and more for our growing orangutan family. This tool will also assist veterinary staff in voluntary medical training with the orangutans\, limiting the need for sedation and increasing the health data we can collect throughout the new baby’s life! Donations will be accepted in-person at the baby shower as well as online anytime until April 23. \n\n\n\nThis event is free with general admission tickets to the Zoo.
