Explore the world of science through animals and nature. In this program, we’ll test our scientific skills through observations, hands-on demonstrations and even play!
Families can explore the natural world together during the Virginia’s Zoo’s Family EdVenture Programs. Each educational adventure will focus on a different theme and include activity stations, a visit from an animal ambassador and crafts that make learning fun for the whole family. Activities are developed for children between the ages of 2-12 although all ages are welcome to attend. These programs are designed for the whole family and there must be at least one adult for every three children who attend.

EdVenture Program Policies:

Date:  Saturday, November 17
Time: 1 pm – 2 pm
Program Length: 1 hour
Price per Program: $7 (per participant); children under the age of 2 are free and must be registered. Prices may vary per program.
Each participant must have a valid confirmation to participate in the program.

Price does not includes Zoo admission.

Cancellation Policy:

Family EdVenture Programs are held rain or shine. The Virginia Zoo reserves the right to cancel or change any program. Programs that have not met the minimum number of participants within the week of the program may be cancelled. In the event that we cancel your program, a full refund will be issued and individuals will be contacted directly. If you should wish to cancel your registration in this program, cancellation must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the program to receive a partial refund of 80%. No refunds will be given for programs cancelled less than ten (10) days before the scheduled date of the program.
