Take your networking to the next level. Specifically, with cheetahs!Join the Virginia Zoo at Cocktails & Conservation for a night of education, drinks and socializing with the area’s top professionals. The special attraction of the night will be 3 baby cheetah ambassadors who will meet the audience* after a fascinating presentation from Mary Wykstra, Director of Action for Cheetahs in Kenya, about the species in wild and measures taken to protect their future.
Bring your co-workers, plan a team-building event or come to meet other area professionals. Networking will begin at 6 pm with the Zoo’s own animal ambassadors, Cheetah Zoodoptions, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. Presentation will begin promptly at 6:45 pm.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Action for Cheetahs in Kenya.
*Up-close encounters and photo opportunities are not available with the cheetahs. 
About the speaker: Mary has experience in both Kenya and in Namibia with data collection, cheetah research techniques, capture and immobilization, community development and education. She works within the local communities in Kenya to initiate programs in research, community development and education. Mary coordinates all research and community development activities related to cheetah conservation research.
