We’re wild about our animals! Help us celebrate some of our favorite Zoo friends and their wild counterparts by joining us for Animal Appreciation Days! Explore all the things that make our animals unique, learn about their threats in the wild, and learn what the Zoo and our partners are doing to protect these species.

Zoodoption Special

This month we’re featuring a special Cassowary Zoodoption. Symbolically adopt our Cassowaries between July 9 and July 25 at the $30 level and you’ll entered to win a Sneak Peek Behind the Scenes encounter with that animal for you and one guest. Plus, your purchase will directly benefit theRainforest Trust Australia, who is working to restore cassowary habitats in the Daintree Lowland Rainforest in Australia. Pre-purchased Zoodoptions will be available for pickup the day of the event, or will be mailed after July 26.

What is a “Sneak Peek”? You and one guest will receive a “Sneak Peek” tour, which may be in-front or behind-the-scenes, depending on the specific animal. You will also receive a personal Q&A session with a keeper who cares for the animal. The experience lasts approximately fifteen minutes and will be scheduled after the contest period ends.
