The extended closure of our facility due to COVID-19 and the restrictions placed on our reopening will continue to impact our financial stability far into the future. That is why we are especially pleased to announce a gift from a generous individual in the form of a challenge to the community to help us raise an additional $100,000 in support from now until the end of the year.
To help replace funds normally generated through ticket sales, memberships and events we are asking for your help. The Emergency Operating Fund will help support operations and ensure we have additional resources to go the extra mile for all areas of the Zoo.
Gifts and pledges to the Emergency Operating Fund received after May 20th, 2020 count toward the new challenge grant. If you have already given and are able, please consider making an additional gift at this time. If you have not yet made your gift, please do so TODAY!
The Zoo’s more than 700 animal residents are at the heart of everything we do. Their health is our top priority so we are taking every precaution to safeguard their well-being as well as their Zoo Keepers and the rest of our staff.
In lieu of requesting a refund, the public can also show its support by converting fees paid for purchased group tours, experiences, programs and events to a donation.
